Ties That Bind Us to the Community
Our goal is to provide funds and services to support the local community and provide internal recognition programs. We provide wide-ranging support to the Food Bank of Delaware. Our CEO serves on the Food Bank's Board of Directors. Many of our associates volunteer at local Food Bank events and contribute food for collection bins in our corporate office lobby. We also support the Food Bank's annual fundraising gala, the Blue Jean Ball. At the 2010 ball, we were honored as the Food Bank's "Community Supporter of the Year."
We contribute to the Children's Beach House, a Lewes, DE, nonprofit that has provided summer and year-round programs for children with special needs for over 70 years.
We provide financial support to the American Red Cross of the Delmarva Peninsula. In 2010, we were a sponsor of the chapter's First Annual Clara Barton Awards for Outstanding Women of the Eastern Shore.
We contribute to Public Radio Delmarva, sponsoring on-air challenge grant segments for its fall membership challenge.
We offer our associates a matching gifts program with a dollar-for-dollar match of employee contributions to qualified charitable, educational and other nonprofits. This program has benefited more than 30 non-profits and community institutions.
